When José Carr is not holding his famous jazz jam at True Story Brewing Company on Tuesday evenings he and his band gigs around the Birmingham area. Recently I had the privilege of taking a road trip to Auburn on Friday May 5th to see José Carr's Quartet at the Piccolo jazz lounge. For about 3 hours José, Bernard, Willie and Tim played a swinging set of standards and more. They closed with a hot performance of 'A Night in Tunisia' by request! Fun was had by all. I took some photos and wanted to share them here!
