Are you interested in keeping traditional Jazz alive where you live? Experience Jazz through the lens of Alabama Jazz Hall of Famer Daniel Jose Carr and his colleagues by viewing our new documentary; So You Say You Play Jazz. Learn about the rich tradition of Jazz in Birmingham, Alabama and why we want to preserve the live experience of Jazz music. This film will inspire you to promote Jazz music in your community for future generations. This documentary was made with no funding. The entire venture was produced by a team of volunteers using their own equipment, talent and time in an effort to preserve jazz music and give awareness to those under-appreciated musicians who have dedicated their time to doing so. BellisarioSonic Arts
The BellisarioSonic Arts was formed to preserve and promote under recognized artistic talents and culture through inspiring documentary films and musical recordings. BellisarioSonic Arts Foundation uses audio/visual means of communication to educate the public on important yet unrecognized artistic talents in music and the visual arts. Our organization also focuses on biographical, historical and preservational oriented documentary films that inspire others to promote and carry on these artistic traditions in their community for the enrichment of future generations. We seek to distribute small or independent record label's audiophile recordings and we currently distribute high quality recordings from Birdbox Records in Italy.
BellisarioSonic
BellisarioSonic was first created to produce, record, mix and master the private recordings of Matthew Bellisario. This venture has expanded to recordings such as Daniel 'José' Carr's promotional live jazz recording at True Story Brewing. 'José Carr and Friends' was recorded live, mixed and mastered by BellisarioSonic.
